Geography
Located approximately 15km north of the City in the North Region, Yishun District is bounded by Sungei Simpang Kiri to the north, Sembawang Road to the west, Seletar Expressway (SLE) to the south and Sungei Punggol and Selat Johor to the east. It covers an area of approximately 3,808 hectares with an estimated population of 185,500 as of June 2011.

Division
Yishun District comprises 1 New Town (Yishun), 1 Estate (Nee Soon) and 2 Sub-Districts (Seletar and Simpang). In total, Yishun District is sub-divided into 23 neighbourhoods.

Yishun New Town encompass 810 hectares and is divided into 9 neighbourhoods, namely Neighbourhood 1, Neighbourhood 2, Neighbourhood 3, Neighbourhood 4, Neighbourhood 5, Neighbourhood 6, Neighbourhood 7, Neighbourhood 8 and Neighbourhood 9.

Nee Soon Estate contains 4 neighbourhoods, namely Nee Soon, Springleaf, Springside and Khatib.

Simpang Sub-District is separated into 4 neighbourhoods, namely Khatib Bongsu, Simpang, Tanjong Irau and Pulau Seletar.

Seletar Sub-District is separated into 6 neighbourhoods, namely Lower Seletar Reservoir, Seletar Airport, Seletar Aerospace Park, Seletar Camp, Seletar East and Seletar North.
