Geography
Located 5 to 9km west of the City in the West Region, Queenstown District is bounded by Clementi Road to the west, Sungei Ulu Pandan and Bukit Timah Town to the north, Alexandra Road to the east and the Straits of Singapore to the south. It covers an area of approximately 2,932 hectares with an estimated population of 97,800 as of June 2011.

Division
Queenstown District incorporates 1 New Town (Queenstown), 1 Estate (Ayer Rajah) and 2 Sub-Districts (Pasir Panjang and the Southwest Islands). In total, Queenstown District is sub-divided into 18 neighbourhoods and 16 offshore islands.

Queenstown New Town encompass 687 hectares and is divided into 7 neighbourhoods, namely Princess (Neighbourhood 1), Duchess (Neighbourhood 2), Commonwealth (Neighbourhood 3), Tanglin Halt (Neighbourhood 4), Queensway (Neighbourhood 5), Stirling (Neighbourhood 6) and Buona Vista (Neighbourhood 7).

Ayer Rajah Estate contains 5 neighbourhoods, namely Ghim Moh (Neighbourhood 1), Dover (Neighbourhood 2), Buona Vista Sub-Regional Centre, one-north and Portsdown.

Pasir Panjang Sub-District comprises 6 neighbourhoods, namely Pasir Panjang Estate, Pasir Panjang Port, National University of Singapore, Singapore Science Park, Kent Ridge Park and West Coast Park.

The Southwest Islands Sub-District is separated into the Bukom Islands, Semakau Islands and Live Firing Islands. The Bukom Islands comprises 6 offshore islands (Pulau Bukom, Pulau Bukom Kechil, Pulau Ular, Pulau Busing, Pulau Anak Bukom and Pulau Hantu). The Semakau Islands comprises 3 offshore islands (Pulau Semakau, Pulau Sebarok and Pulau Jong). The Live Firing Islands 7 offshore islands (Pulau Salu, Pulau Sudong, Pulau Pawai, Pulau Berkas, Pulau Senang, Pulau Biola and Pulau Satumu).
