Geography
Located approximately 14km west of the City in the West Region, Bukit Batok District is bounded by Bukit Batok Road to the west, Choa Chu Kang Road to the north, Upper Bukit Timah Road, Old Jurong Road and Bukit Batok Street 25 to the east and Pan Island Expressway (PIE) to the south. It covers an area of approximately 1,104 hectares with an estimated population of 143,400 as of June 2011.

Division
Bukit Batok comprises 1 New Town (Bukit Batok) and 1 Estate (Hillview). In total, Bukit Batok District is sub-divided into 10 neighbourhoods.

Bukit Batok New Town encompass 785 hectares and is divided into 7 neighbourhoods, namely Neighbourhood 1, Neighbourhood 2, Neighbourhood 3, Neighbourhood 4, Neighbourhood 5, Neighbourhood 6 and Neighbourhood 7.

Hillview Estate contains 3 neighbourhoods, namely Hillview, Hume and Bukit Gombak.
